Oche User Guide

Overview

Oche's tournament feature lets you run knockout competitions with automatic bracket generation, seeding, and result tracking. Perfect for pub league nights, club tournaments, or any competitive event.

Creating a Tournament

  1. Navigate to Tournaments from the main menu
  2. Tap Create Tournament
  3. Configure the tournament:
    • Name — e.g. "Friday Night Arrows"
    • Game format — X01 variant (501, 301, etc.)
    • Legs per match — Best of 3, 5, 7, etc.
  4. Add players from your player list
ℹ️
Tournament brackets work best with player counts that are powers of 2 (4, 8, 16, 32). If you have an odd number, some players will receive a bye in the first round.

The Bracket

Once you start a tournament, Oche generates the bracket automatically:

Tournament at a Venue

Running a tournament at a venue? Here's the ideal setup:

  1. Set up the venue in Oche (see Venues)
  2. Have players check in via QR code
  3. Create the tournament and add checked-in players
  4. Use a kiosk tablet to display the live bracket
  5. Play matches on individual phones/tablets or on the venue boards
Pro tip: Display the bracket on a TV or large tablet so all players can see the draw and follow progress through the night.
